I’ll make love to you Slow if you want me to I’ll kiss you When we’re through I’ll be good this once I promise you not to rush I’ll give it a Gentle push I believe, I believe that mistakes have been made I regret what I’ve done, taking and taking, oh I... I can’t believe what you done, you should’ve known it was wrong You don’t have to forget or say I’m forgiven, because I... I apologize I know that it’s hard to find A body, a soul, a mind In one gentleman All combined So do what you’ve got to do A lashing should be my due But I’ll learn And you’ll learn too Chorus Say what you will I’ll swallow the biggest pill I ain’t treated you Very well So give me your lowest blow Square right between the nose But tonight this house is mine That’s a good sign Chorus

I’m a man named Mule without a queen I’d raft upstream to find your swarthy dream I’m a man named Mule without a home The river gives me two directions known I have seen the sky turning green Clouds run blue, sun and moon disagree Brine meets blue, out there on that horize No point on which to fix my Mississippi eyes I have seen your ship out on the rise It comes so near then sinks below the skies So I followed you to Cairo, Illinois You knew this man and gave him mooring lines I have seen the skies turning green Clouds run blue, sun and moon disagree Brine meets blue, out there on that horize No point on which to fix my Mississippi eyes I can see the day I broke my knees Two feet towards the town two towards the trees I’m a man named Mule without a queen They’ll drag the river bed for my remains, for my remains… I have seen the skies turning green Clouds run blue, sun and moon disagree Brine meets blue, out there on that horize No point on which to fix my Mississippi eyes I have seen Clouds run blue I dig you, out there on that horize Point, my Mississippi eyes

Did you watch me sleep this morning Knowing that you wouldn’t be back at all Now I see you’re on the mountain Send my love Yesterday’s sun doesn’t shine on the new world That ain’t the same sun that shines so bright On the flowers you gave To me on my birthday Yesterday’s sun doesn’t shine on the window That ain’t the same sun that shined so bright On the bed we made With the sheets all pushed away Well I know there ain’t two suns But I feel the light of a different one Did you watch me sleep this morning Knowing that you wouldn’t be back at all Now I see you’re on the mountain Send my love Those jeans of mine Wrapped around your behind Yesterday’s sun doesn’t shine on the wet grass That ain’t the same sun that warmed her toes In the field where she sleeps Buried beneathe the trees Yesterdays’ sun wouldn’t have done this deed to me Did you watch me sleep this morning Knowing you wouldn’t be back at all Now I see you’re on the mountain Send my love The plans we made Our plans to get away If you asked me what they were I’d be embarrassed just to say

When the only sound in the empty street Is the heavy tread of the heavy feet That belong o a lonesome cop I open shop When the moon so long has been gazing down On the waywards ways of theis wayward town And my smile becomes a smirk I go to work Love for sale Appetizing love for sale Love that’s fresh and still unspoiled Love that’s only slightly soiled Love for sale Who who will buy Who would like to sample my supply Well love that’s fresh and not aware Love that doesn’t give a care Love fo sale Well, let the poets pipe of love In their childish ways Well I know every type of love better far than they So if you want the thrill of love I’ve been through the mill of love Old love, new love Every love but true love Love for sale Appetizing love for sale If you’d like to pay the price For a trip to paradise Love for sale Let the poets pipe of love In their childish ways Well I know every type of love better far than they So if you want the thrill of love I’ve been through the mill of love Old love, new love Any love but true love Love for sale Appetizing love for sale If you’d want to pay the price For a trip to paradise Love for sale Love for sale Love for sale

about

The Willie Wisely Trio initially splashed down into the Minneapolis music scene in 1989 with a series of lo-fi homemade cassettes, recorded on Fostex X-15 4-track decks, and then sold from record store counters on consignment -- which led to gigs, a loyal following, an increasingly unhinged performance style and peripatetic touring throughout the midwest and Canada. The Trio broke up in 1995 (to reunite for a new album "True" in 2012).

about

Willie Wisely Saint Paul, Minnesota

Equal parts Minnesotan music scene veteran and Laurel Canyon resident/devotee, Willie Wisely remains that rare bird mixing profound power pop with arena-sized showmanship, a troubadour on an all night rave up, a cold kombucha on a hot California day, a McCartney-ite taking a break from his Japanese import of “Ram” for a quick Canyon run listening to João Gilberto. ... more
