Track three is a the band's live pre-production demo from our basement rehearsal space under DeLisi’s Bar in North Minneapolis. We used to demo every song there before hitting an expensive 24-track tape studio. We prided ourselves on great sounding 4-track recordings and in fact our early releases were totally in that medium, replete with the mold smell and the sound of foot steps and banging around from the bar upstairs (where we'd sometimes play pool and drink). Check out the "Cassettarcana" album to hear some of those. In this demo I cannot explain why the 28 year old version of me felt that singing like Kermit would add sorrow.
